Here are my initial impressions: overall: The machine is very usable and, barring unforeseen reliability problems, I think I will be very happy with the POQET PC. display: The 80x25 LCD display has small characters and is not backlight. The display may be swiveled 90 degrees though so usually I can find a readable position. size: The size is fantastic for my tastes. I carry the POQET with me all the time, in my briefcase, and do not feel burdened at all. The machine really weighs 1 pound. This is much different than carrying around a 4, 6, or (perish the thought) 10 pound machine. touch "typability: I have large hands but my fingers are not extraordinary wide. I can touch type on the POQET while the machine is balanced on my lap and I am riding the commuter train from Palo Alto to San Francisco (that's what I use it for) The keyboard, however, is smaller than most laptop computers and there is no space between keys. Complaints: static ram memory cards cost too much currently Bob Wilhelm Rockwell Science Center wilhelm@rpal.rockwell.com (415)325-0253
