AST claims their new notebooks will have this screen technology. The rest of their specs look great, but I have yet to see what a CCFT display looks like. It's supposed to be black & white, high contrast, 32 shades, VGA. Somewhere I read that the new TI/Sharp notesbook display was black & white, but it sure looks dark blue & light blue to me! Also, the backlighting wasn't very even - the edges being different from the center.
