Yay!), and discovered something disconcerting with Works: When I was copying my files off of the old hard drive (an external HD20) and onto the new one inside the si, it kept hanging. I rebooted and tried smaller amounts, but still the hanging. Finally, I discovered it was Works desktop files that were causing the hanging! What's in these files that could kill an si? Or is it killing 6.0.7, and the si was just the unlucky victim in this case? Also, when running Works on the new machine, it: a) can't use desktops, even when they're opened from inside the program b) hangs when opening all but the smallest databases c) tries to print beyond the margins, causing letters on the edge to be truncated. Since the document had 1" margins, I know it's not a physical limitation of the Laserwriter (besides, it never did this before). What gives? -Drew -- Andrew Bennett abennett@mit.edu MIT Room 11-124H abennett%athena@mitvma.bitnet 77 Massachusetts Ave. Phone: (617) 253-7174 Cambridge, MA 02139 --
