The difficulty is in moving it horizontally. The motion I now get on the screen is now typically jerky enough to making precise pointing a nerve racking problem. Sometimes, and this seems to take place when my office is below 65 deg, I cannot almost not move the mouse in the right horizontal direction. I am running 6.0.5 system software with 6.1.5 finder on a IIci with 16 meg of memory (with maxima). I have two monitors: an Apple 2 page monitor, and an Apple standard high res RGB monitor. I have the 256 capable board for the 2 page monitor, and am running the RGB monitor from the IIci internal board. I have changed the mouse and keyboard. I have swapped the logic board from the ci. I have changed my mouse pad... Nothing seems to matter. Is there anything in the monitor boards or the monitors themselves that would cause such a bad mouse behavior? Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance, ---jon---
