Problem: MS Word hung when I tried to quit. The changes were saved, but the cursor stayed as an insertion bar and "File" in the menu stayed selected, so I rebooted using the prgrammer's switch. NOW, MS Word seems to be non-existent -- doubleclicking on a word document says "...could not be opened...application busy or missing." Doing GetInfo on the folder in which Word used to reside says "O bytes used, 0K on disk, for 0 files." THIS is the folder which can't be deleted. "Trash couldn't be emptied (a file was busy or a folder was not empty)." So I've renamed the folder "folder from hell" and hid it away in the bottom corner of the window. But there's got to be a better way! Thanks in advance, Lydia Gregoret gregoret@cgl.ucsf.edu
