The Grappler does a quite fair job of imitating an ImageWriter - a good way to avoid buying an ImageWriter and saving some $$$$. BUT - it is SLOW. Set up a page of text to print at best quality, then go and watch a TV show while it prints. But with the cost of PostScript laser printers falling, it made sense to me to skip buying an ImageWriter and get by on the Grappler until I could afford a PostScript laser printer. When I had to generate a lot of letters one week, I just rented an ImageWriter to save hours of output time.
