My own disk space crisis was nicely resolved yesterday with the arrival of a couple of double-sided Canon ODs from Brad Gulko, who has posted a note or two here. The disks cost $182 each plus a few dollars for shipping, insurance, and packing, and arrived in around a week (spanning the New Year holiday). This compares quite favorably with the $135 I paid for a single-sided OD from Businessland in November. Both sides of both of the new ODs initialized with no problems at all. Details can be had from: Brad Gulko 170 Hagemann Ave. Santa Cruz, CA 95062 turing@saturn.ucsc.edu An amusing note: the information pamphlet which Canon provides in the plastic case warns that ODs are strategic goods subject to COCOM export controls. Strange that I didn't see this warning on any of the rack full of 8mm video tapes over at the local Wherehouse! Brad Yearwood {uunet, pyramid}!optilink!brad Petaluma, CA
