Just wondering if anyone has copied opticals between two cubes 
some thing like
dd if=/dev/od0a bs=512k |rsh <other cube> dd of=/dev/od0a bs=512k

I know this can be done but just wanted to know if anyone has some
wonderfull tips before I do things by hit and miss.
