I've just turned it on after it sat in my basement for 2 years. Unfortunately the disk controller board does not pass the power up self test. The disks spin up (when it is power cycled with the on off switch--not the reset key), the red access LEDs flash briefly, then I get an error indicating the controller didn't pass the self test. After calling (what used to be) my local Heathkit store I found that the Z-100 is no longer supported :-( Does anybody have a spare controller board that they'd be willing to part with cheap? I'm only using the two full height 5 1/4" drives that came with the system. Any info would be appreciated.
