The problem is as follows: I have some old format files floating around, but I can't find the macros for them anywhere. These format files are useless with a new version of TeX. So what I would like to do is turn the FMT files back into a TEX file that can be given to initex to create a new FMT file. I don't want to modify the macros that make up the format at all. Am I hopelessly stuck with using TeX 2.0 as long as these FMT files are needed??? I hope not... Thanks for the help... Dan -- J.
