Preferably one that I can run under BSD, in order to cross-compile some of my sources. I also need a 386 assembler... nothing fancy, just something like 'as' from Unix. If the sources aren't available, are there executables I can get for the compiler/assembler that will either run under BSD4.3 on a Vax or Tahoe, or for a 386 PC machine under DOS? (I'd prefer the former, but will live with the latter if I have to) Basically, I've working on a small object-oriented OS on a spare VAX machine here, writing and compiling under BSD on another machine, then porting the code, and I'd like to be able to write a version for my 386 machine as well, to take with me when I leave school, but I have no easy way of porting my code, and don't have the budget right now to buy a real 386 compiler, so I'm looking for FTP sites, etc. where I can get one from. If possible, please reply with mail, because I don't read this newsgroup very often. Thanks. - Frank
