Message-ID: <12870003@hpnmdla.HP.COM> Date: 9 Jan 91 10:06:35 GMT Organization: HP Network Measurements Div, Santa Rosa, CA Lines: 18 On Esix rev D, has anyone gotten the BSD socket library (/usr/lib/libnet.a) to work? I've tried two programs (perl3pl41 and gnuserv), and both programs get a bus error in listen(). Both of these programs work fine on many other machines. As I don't have a lan card, I'm using the pseudo-lan driver (/dev/pln). I don't think this is caused by some mis-configuration on my part; telnet/telnetd work fine, as do X-windows (does X-windows use the pln driver?). I'm starting to wonder if this is a bug in sockets. Any help will be appreciated. -- Darryl Okahata UUCP: {hplabs!, hpcea!, hpfcla!} hpnmd!darrylo Internet: darrylo%hpnmd@hp-sde.sde.hp.com
