Converting 2 byte per character fonts should be done with the -M command line flag set. After a conversion, you have to do a 'bldfamily' to reconstruct the server font list in that directory. Potential "gotcha": be careful about doing multiple conversions of the same font in the same directory without setting the font name, and possible the output filename.
