    Suppose I start an X terminal (A, say) which connects me to host B and then
    I rlogin to C; how can I arrange for C to determine where my terminal is
    so it can set DISPLAY correctly?


Lobby your vendor to supply a telnet that supports "X Display Location"
option negotiation (per RFC 1096).
