That's the problem! I do not have the MIT distribution, and
wanted to get at the mit/doc or mit/hardcopy directories.
FTP'ing into expo.lcs.mit.edu or uunet.uu.net does not list the "mit"
directory, it seems the only way to get mit/doc is by getting over 
the entire tape-2 directory.

I was hoping that some FTP site that had already installed the X
stuff would allow me to get only what I need ....

But, seems like, I'll have to get everything in tape-2/*....
