I need a function that takes a window, and
a location (x,y) and returns the widget
or widgets that contain that location.
I want to write something like a 
WidgetUnderPointer function.

I assume there must be something similar
buried somewhere in Motif or X, but I can't
seem to find it.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
