In addition, there are several drawbacks to using a van. The chair I use has pedals that don't come off - it is similiar to a Quickie HP - but weighs about 34 lbs. I never thought of getting in the passenger's side. I'll be able to try that on some of the models but on a lot of models I can't because they have bucket seats. I'll give ti a try though. Thanks.
