As I talk to more people about this amalgam/mercury poisoning thing, I get the impression it isn't new news, and also, that the finger is being pointed at those who would recommend taking out the amalgam and replacing it as some kind of gougers and exploiters. My reaction is: 20 years ago I began reading in the New Yorker about asbestos and how the asbestos companies wer fighting like mad to prevent the government from establishing minimum levels of asbestos per cubic inch. And then over time how it turned out to be true about asbestos...AND cigarettes...and what else?
