We recently purchased a RasterOps Colorboard 264 for about $350. It drives a standard Apple Color monitor (or compatible) at 640X480 X 24 bits. We're buying a color scanner RSN; the one we're looking at will cost us under $2000. 24-bit input & output is well within the financial grasp of many users now. On with JPEG! PS: I believe economical 24-bit boards exist for the Amiga now, too. | Dave Walker, Detroit Art Services (DAS) | | marmoset@ub.cc.umich.edu "I don't read, I just guess" | | marmoset@mondo.engin.umich.edu -Happy Mondays, "Wrote For Luck" |
