Of course ,MO is slower than HD,but faster than CD. And if the mpeg standard is available on the DVI,maybe the speed of CD becomes the critical point. In addition to,the more the ability of chips grows great, the more the speed for peripherals will be needed. It means there is the limit for the quality of images ,if the data transfer is limited. Anyway I use MO on the DVI system.(7 boards type ,ver 2.12) In my case ,the transfer rate is about 180kbytes/sec in normal case, and in another way (Put the fat & directory on the memory) about 300kbytes/sec on DOS 3.3. (logical sector size is 8kbytes,cluster size is 16kbytes, 16 bits fat) Playing PLV from MO is ok,and also I can show still images on and on during playing RTV on the 512*480 bit map.(Although the speed for displaying still images is a little bit slow.) Any comments? Thanks in advance. Susumu. --- $@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(J !--------------------------------------------!$@!!!!!!!!!!(J ! $@!!(JWhy are computers so fool?! ! ! Mitsubishi Kasei Corp.
