I would recommend the DeskJet.  I have an original deskjet here, and am not disappointed with it.  It is a great buy.  Supposedly with the Plus and 500 they are even faster, and can have more memory.  BTW, do you know if the water resistand cartridges will work in a non 500 series dj?
