Hi all,

Recently, we set our CISCO routers to route Appletalk as opposed to bridging
it.  During that time, however, we were curious to see if we could selectively
bridge it while filtering out other protocol suites.

We looked up the family ID and checked it with Cabletron's LANVIEW packet
sniffer S/W.  Both a book source and the S/W agreed it was:  $809B.

However, the CISCO router refused to acknowledge 809B as the correct one.

So, who is right, Inside "Appletalk" (our book source) or CISCO?  Is Appletalk
one of those protocols that require a variety of DDP level protocols enabled
at the router level?

Note:  Before we routed Appletalk, we were bridging EVERYTHING of a non DEC or
       TCP/IP nature, so naturally Appletalk was bridged properly.
