[Jumping in a discussion whether to choose zoo or lharc]

Both programs do their jobs very well.

Pro's of zoo: multiple generations, faster.
Pro's of lharc: better packing, recursive.
Con's of zoo: cannot handle timezones east of Greenwich.
Con's of both: no support for links/symlinks.

I'll probably stick to the first program that can handle
links/symlinks.
