Message-ID: <1991Jan15.060726.3857@ob1.uws.EDU.AU> Date: 15 Jan 91 06:07:26 GMT Distribution: comp Organization: University of Western Sydney Lines: 18 The guy who wrote PBMPLUS is about to release a new version of it, which will include a 'proper' (read 'better') way to convert a PPM file to an 8-colour dither. So I won't bother posting my program. What I will do is post a C program to compress these 'dithered' PPM files to 15K files (all the easier to d/load to the Beeb!), and a BBC BASIC program to display them in Mode 2. I'll also start working on a way to convert BBC screens into this format (PPM). Once a file is in this format you'll be able to convert it to GIF (using ppmtogif) or other formats.
