account.

I have logged into the mcrnext machine - 128.174.5.59 - and can not get the 
dir or ls command to work properly.  Nothing is displayed when I use dir or
ls.  However, I can cd into directories and get files.

Is there some other command to display a directory?

Also, whenever I try to use mget I am disconnected.  Any suggestions?

I have tried to use the isca.icaen.uiowa.edu site; but, when I try to transfer
large files I get a message that the server is down.  Sentinel.zoo ~700K is 
the file it died on.  I transfered the c.zoo ~20K with no problems.  Any
suggestions?
