The deal is that the System isn't entirely loaded into RAM. Before I used SuitCase, I had System files in the 3-4 meg range on 1 meg Mac Pluses. The System still only took up 200-300k. Fonts and Desk Accesories were loaded as needed and the resources purged as others were called. >do. Still think the "infinite DAs" of the Amiga are better, though :-) As a matter of fact, so do I. Maybe we'll see them in a couple of years on the Mac. (I'm just glad my Mac's motherboard will take 128 meg, 'cause I think I'll be needing it.)
