Why does it get progressively slower in pre-2.0? As you move windows around, the "behind" windows get sliced and diced. The problem is that smaller bits are never de-diced. Well, they are, but not as much as they could be. 2.0 has a much better de-dicing routine. How to help the situation? (1) Don't move windows (sometimes you can do this). *or* (2) re-size the window to be as small as possible, release the re-size gadget; now re-size it to the size you want. This clears out all the dices on the "expanded portion" of the window. Ta da. Tom -- Headers, headers everywhere! Who needs a .sig?
