Lines: 7 I have an Master 3A external drive that I use with my Amiga 500. I've had it for almost a year and a half and I'm starting to have troubles with it. When I insert a disk, the metal shield does not slide back. It waits until the drive is accessed before opening the slide. Also, I have to have a disk in the drive before I boot the system, else the system shows DF1: as being bad. And, once that disk is in there, I can't replace it. The system won't recognize the disk, it just says "Volume so-and-so has a read/write error". If you know what could be wrong, or even how to fix it, please reply. I don't have another $100 to spend on a new drive.
