Mostly I am trying to find information regarding the way information is physically stored on the disks. To a lesser extent controller operation theory is needed. Since I need a fairly in-depth discussion about drives I feel that the most efficient method to answer my questions is to be pointed towards some technical references. If any of you know of books spanning the range from intro to advanced on disk drives, I would appreciate your forwarding their titles to me.
