From speaking with people at Memory and Storage Technologies (MAST) in
Sparks, Nevada, I learned that they are planning to introduce a new
SCSI controller for the Amiga 500 very soon (it's awaiting FCC approval).
I was told that it offers either an 8-bit or 16-bit interface (
16bit is $89 more), sockets for up to 8 MB of RAM, a mini slot for
a future coprocessor option, and connects to any SCSI drive.

Could be worth waiting for...considering the base price for the 8-bit
model with no RAM is $129 list.
