And this uses RAW: 

 Basicall, the consol hander can be put into a mode where it will accept 'LINES'
(IE: You have full delete/edit/etc ability - This is often called 'cooked' mode)
and a mode where it will accept characters exactly as typed (This is called RAW
mode).
  The different modes have different reasons. The default, however, is Cooked when
you are using the normal consol handler.
