    Thought I recalled someone on this E-mail list asking about SCSI bus
extenders.  Noticed in this month's BYTE the following;
     SCSI bus extender (Fiber Optic)
        SCSI-1 or SCSI-2 connection possible
        5 MBps data transfer rate in sync or async modes
        extend up to 3000 ft

     Looks like you need two units at $950 ea and the cable.
