Subject: music-why can't I play?

Could someone fill me in on how to play Music Studio songs from 
sound smith.  Yes I know there is a part in the prefrences menu
that asks that, but even when I select it and try to read the 
files the computer still can't see them.  Please someone, any 
help would be greatly appreciated.
