Well, I just finished writing a program that will play long sound files
by loading in 64K chunks at a time. So... it is possible and it works with
a 3.5" disk drive (no HD required). Currently, it is a shell EXE file, so
it isn't ready for general distribution. If enough people are interested,
I can try to fix it up and post it to binaries.
