Anyone else out there used Alchimie Jr.? I downloaded this from the MIDI RT on GEnie...it is a shareware (non-crippled) sequencer that appears (I'm rather new at MIDI) to be immensely powerful. Supports 256 tracks (why would anyone _possibly_ need this many, when limited to 16 MIDI channels?), quantization, elaborate grid/piano roll note display, full multi-tasking (most any function can be performed while the sequencer is playing or recording), multi-windowed user interface, MIDI file import/export, and full (though somewhat mangled English) documentation. The authors claim they've spent two and a half years developing Alchimie, and I can believe it. Nothing seems to be missing. Registration is only $25. I'll try to get it to atari.archive. -- ################################################################################ # Bill Sheppard -- bills@microware.com -- {uunet, sun}!mcrware!mwca!bill # # Microware Systems Corporation --- OS-9: Seven generations beyond __/_!! # #######Opinions expressed are my own, though you'd be wise to adopt them!#######
