Since I only have 1 meg of memory, I was concerned about - having STeno loaded while running STalker and still have enough memory - for other applications after quitting telecommunciations. I have one meg on my STe. I run about 200K worth of hard drive cache and NeoDesk installed, not to mention a few other little things. With STalker and STeno, I have about 100K free. When I'm not doing telelcommunications, I reboot and change my configuration with Superboot. Once I get two megs, I'll probably stop rebooting. But even now, I have enough room to load programs like DC Xtract 2.0 and other utilities. - Therefore, my question is: Do you need STeno to act as a capture - buffer when running STalker or does STalker have its own, built in - capture?? STeno is the capture buffer; STalker does not have its own. On the other hand, STalker does have an "ASCII Receive" feature which lets you save the incoming text directly to a text file. Once you open it, it only closes the file after you tell it to or when there's no more space on the disk. -- Ed Krimen ............................................... ||| Video Production Major, California State University, Chico ||| INTERNET: ekrimen@ecst.csuchico.edu FREENET: al661 / | \ SysOp, Fuji BBS: 916-894-1261 FIDONET: 1:119/4.0
