My son subscribed to it and DH> tryed to get it to run on a 'Bow I gave him and it will not install. DH> Any help would be appreciated. I talked with Prodigy about making a generic (ASCII) version. They are not going to make a version that will run on the rainbow or from a VT terminal. Sears and IBM developed and want to sell IBM systems. The problem is the program runs in 25 by 40 graphics mode. The rainbow will not support this mode of IBM software, even with the newest Codeblue and Dos 3.10 B. - --- msged 2.06 * Origin: Bob's_point of Cuckoo's Nest : Hudson, NH (1:132/119.4) ------------------------------ Date: 16 Jan 91 02:22 -0500 From: CARL HOUSEMAN To: FRANK MALLORY Subject: RE: 100+ MEMORY EXTENSION re: I have 120 ns chips ... work fine ... maybe its because I'm using the NEC V20 processor in all my Rainbows. Myth killing time again! To the original writer who claimed 120ns parts didn't work but 150ns parts did - you had a bad chip or two. Otherwise, faster RAM chips don't of themselves spell failure, in any machine. It's only when using RAM that's too slow in a fast machine that you can have problems. As for the NEC V20 - it doesn't require faster RAM, nor is the timing of memory access altered in any way. When it comes to accessing memory and peripherals, a 4.77 mhz V20 is the equivalent of a 4.77 mhz 8088. It HAS to be that way, otherwise you couldn't drop in a V20 and have it work. - --- ConfMail V4.00 * Origin: SYS$OUTPUT BBS * Library, PA * Fido 12t * 412.854.0511 * (1:129/38) ------------------------------ Date: 16 Jan 91 02:31 -0500 From: CARL HOUSEMAN To: ALL Subject: TETRIS FOR RB?
