The I/O card is the 12076A LAN/1000 Link Interface. It is available with either an IEEE 802.3 connection or ethernet. The price is $3685 (US) with a return of $500 if you choose opt. -001 (ethernet connection). The software you need is 91790A NS-ARPA/1000 Network Services. The price of this depends on what processor it will be used on. The prices range from $2015 for an A400 to $8380 in an A900 CPU. This price is under the $25k you mention, however, there is a minimum requirement of 2Mb and a recommended minimum of ~4Mb. On the A900, a 3Mb memory card is $9000. On the other processors, there is a special product (12176A) that incorporates the 12076A LAN card and 2Mb of memory for a total of $5500. (You can increase this to a 4Mb card for an additional $1700). NOTE: This special is NOT good on the A900. These prices are from the Nov. 1990 Ordering Guide and may have changed. I recommend that you contact your HP sales rep for more information. Regards, Dave Medlicott DSO Support medli@hpda
