Turning off autostart is not what I what. It would be nice if it came up automatically yet was configured to a different size than the default 24x80. As I said in the initial message, in my .Xdefaults file I changed the geometry of the hpterm. The problem is that the first hpterm which comes up isn't configured to the new size.
