Message-ID: Date: 21 Jan 91 21:17:03 GMT Sender: news@lemans.dec.com Distribution: usa Organization: Digital Equipment Corporation, Detroit Ultrix Resource Center Lines: 20 I have a generic far east noname clone 386sx which works fine with a plain old IBM Monochrome display adapter and IBM personal computer (monchrome) display. I also have a "Graphix Plus II" card from STB Systems which used to work fine in a generic 286 clone. When I plug the STB card in to the new 386 box, the box simply wont boot. When I turn on the power, nothing happens - it isn't simply that I'm getting no video, it is that the machine just never starts going. The BIOS in the 386sx box is by AMI (American Megatrends, Inc) and (I think) is dated 1989. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong, and what I might do to get the STB Graphix Plus II card to work with this motherboard?
