Hi folks,
    I want to buy a PC, to run X windows application programs. I need
advice on the specifications of the PC system, that will be able to
support the following -

1. Some user interface application using X windows.
2. Support DOS and UNIX.
3. Support graphics application with very good resolution.
4. Support a reasonably sized database and database software.
5. Should be able to perform as standalone system for X applications.

Specifically I am interested in the information on 
1. What kind of processor would be adequate? (286, 386, etc.)
2. Resolution of the terminal (?X? pixels) and the type of the
   graphics card (eg. VGA, SVGA, etc.)
3. A good quote (price) on the new (as well as old) PC which
   would fulfill the requirements, that I am looking for.
