Lines: 14 I've been using ``The $25 Network'' available from Information Modes P.O. Drawer F. Denton, TX 76202 817-387-3339 for $25. It is a reasonably "full featured" LAN which uses standard serial ports at about 115kbaud. This is slower than the Ethernet I have at work, but lots faster than Kermit.
