St.John's Nfld, Canada Lines: 32 Dear Readers I am interested to get a 286 laptop for my office. As I have to pay for this from my pocket I will prefer it to cost me less than US$2.2k. I do not have a desktop in my office, so I will be using the laptop for longer time. I do not want to spend extra for the accessories, thus the screen quality (preferably bklt VGA), a built-in floppy drive and a hard drive (at least 20M) is must. Further, a socket for the math co-processor is required. Battery power is not necessary. I am not very particular about the weight, but it should be within the limit of occasional portability without demanding extra bucks for baggage checking while on move. I have short listed following machines. Sharp PC-5641 (286,1.44M/40M, LCD VGA) Sharp PC-5741 (386sx,1.44M/40M, LCD VGA) Toshiba T-3100e (286,1.44/20M, gas DCGA) Toshiba T-1600 (286,1.44/20, LCD EGA) Panasonic CF-270(286,1.44/20, LCD VGA) Sanyo 17NB(??) (286,1.44/20, LCD VGA) I have seen T-1600, but the screen is not that great. Please advise me by e-mail regarding these machines. Thanks and best wishes for the new year, sanjay ssingh@kean.ucs.mun.ca
