Keywords: hard disk Message-ID: Date: 22 Jan 91 22:07:56 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Rutgers Univ., New Brunswick, N.J. Lines: 23 Hi. I recently posted about a disk problem reported by SUM II which turned out to be a result of interaction between SUM II and Multifinder, rather than a true hard disk problem. This post, however, is entirely UNRELATED, since I am getting a new error on a computer at another site. When I use SUM II's "Quick Fix" feature, I get: SCSI mapping is OK Volume Info Block OK Allocation map is invalid Directory is bad Done SUM II says that it is "unable to repair" the error. Does anyone know whether Norton Utilities for the Mac will repair such an error? I believe that I've had this error for quite a while, undetected, since it wasn't until today that I tried Quick Fix. Thanks, Ralph rgonzal@chowder.rutgers.edu
