System: MacIIsi with NuBus adapter and Apple EtherCard

Problem: "Open Connection" from 'NCSA Telnet' fails with 
'Couldn't connect with foo.' 'Local Host or Gateway 
unreachable'.

Adjacent macs on the network are unaffected and may open
connections to machines anywhere.  'Show Network Numbers' 
responds with correct info.

Any comments much appreciated.
