Message-ID: <11316@ucrmath.ucr.edu> Date: 19 Jan 91 22:41:43 GMT Organization: University of California, Riverside Lines: 17 I have a "newer" Mac SE with the 1.4 disk drives. I had it for almost a year now and I am begining to wonder about the reliability of the drive. Sometimes, I would get damaged sectors on my HD disks. What I was wondering was whether or not it is the disk problem or the drives problem. If it is the drive, I would figure it would be the write mechanism that is not aligned properly any more. I also hear noise when the drive is running which sounds like something is rubbing against something.??? I would like to know whether or not anyone else had this kind of trouble, and how to fix it... Thanks in advance... joe (I use my girlfriend's account because I don't have one!!!)
