DON't GO INSIDE your machine.... for your own SAKE...<< Really, what do you think most people are, complete idiots? I've opened up several compact Mac's, and certainly never had any problems.Sure, you need to be very careful. It's an expensive peice of equiptment with high voltage. But I don't have any special tools, and possibly slightly higher than average mechanical ability--and never any problems at all. I just upgraded my SE/30 to 8 meg from 5 (which I installed too). I didn't have to go near the tube. Just disconect everything from the main board.Nice & slow, good lights, padded working place, and its easy. I'm all for advising lots of care, and klutz's shouldn't probably be in there--but REALLY! .....just my opinion of course........ --> Lininger Utilities Distribution Site<-- -- MARK HOLLINGSWORTH - via FidoNet node 1:105/14 UUCP: ...!{uunet!glacier, ..reed.bitnet}!busker!354!1!MARK.HOLLINGSWORTH INTERNET: MARK.HOLLINGSWORTH@f1.n354.z1.FIDONET.ORG
