Message-ID: <1991Jan15.210854.2283@cns.umist.ac.uk> Date: 15 Jan 91 21:08:54 GMT References: <37993@cup.portal.com> Sender: usenet@cns.umist.ac.uk (News System) Organization: Univ of Manchester Inst of Science and Technology. Lines: 20 I was one of the first owners of a Classic in Britain. I dutifully sent off my registration card (ad nauseum). It said "Please allow six (SIX!) weeks for delivery of your free copy of Hypercard v2" with a small piece of paper hidden in a completely different place to the effect: you cannot use your old version with your new machine so there!!! I had sold my old (faithful but old) Plus the get the new thing hadn't I! So what is a poor `stacker' to do? It's been nearly twice the time they said it would take! Have pity on a UK citizen and tell me when I will receive my (wonderful if incomplete - "But Mum, Where are the manuals?") free copy of Hypercard. "Can you give me two stacks for a cup of tea?"
