What I mean is, the Apple Data Modem lists at Dartmouth College education discount price for $330, so I assume that dealer prices must be at least that much if not more... I have a Zoom 2400 baud modem that I bought 3 1/2 years ago for about $125 that works as well as I might expect a modem to work. I notice that these Zoom modems now go for around $70. Why is the Apple modem so much more expensive? What makes it $260 better? Finally, who pays $330 or more for a 2400 baud modem? anyone? thanks, -Scott rsvp@dartmouth.edu
