Well, I use 5th Generation's Fastback II as my primary backup system and it: 1) Compresses and formats as it backs up. 2) Runs nicely in the background, and can be scheduled to start up at a regular time .... and if you have PowerKey, you can use that to turn your system on to start the backup. 3) Uses Appleshare volumes, diskettes, tapes, or other hard disks as a backup media. Have you noticed that HDbackup isn't on the system disks any more? The 3rd parties do a great job. Why should we mess up their market? ---- Michael Teener -- 408-974-3521 ---------------------------------+ ---- Internet teener@apple.com, AppleLink TEENER | ---- Apple may know my opinions, but *I* am responsible for them | ---------------------------------------------------------------------+ Transportation by Cheetah N9900U, a loyal beast for the past 7.5 years.
